Kim's Custom Embroidery is a full service custom embroidery and monogramming shop in Tulsa, Oklahoma. We create designs for corporate, team and individual clients. Our goal is to provide you with excellent service at a fair price, and will do what it takes to earn your trust.

ORDER PROCESSING INFORMATION

Delivery of an order depends on many variables. If this is a first-time order for the design, it will need to be set up to stitch and approved before it can go to production. Every effort will be made to accommodate your request of delivery.

QUANTITIES AND PRICING

• There are no minimum quantities on flat garments.

SHIPPING

If you are out of area, our standard shipping methods are UPS Ground and US Priority Mail. Expedited shipping by UPS is available for an additional charge. Shipping charges are prepaid and added to your invoice unless you have a carrier account you prefer to use.

EMBROIDERY GUIDELINES

A typical left chest design usually has a maximum width of 3.5” to 4.0”. The size may be dictated by the size of the smallest lettering in the design. Sometimes a design will have to be modified to be suitable for the embroidery process. We work closely with you to determine what will be an acceptable modification. The maximum height for most cap designs is 2.25” high (less for visors and some caps).

COLOR MATCHING

If we have color artwork of your design, we will use the colors to match thread for your embroidery. If you have particular Pantone (PMS) colors that need to be matched, please furnish them and we will match the thread as close as we can.

CUSTOMER FURNISHED GARMENTS

We will be glad to stitch your garments, but cannot be held responsible for supplier errors, incorrect sizes, colors, or shortages. GARMENTS MUST BE NEW OR LAUNDERED. We reserve the right to determine if a customer-supplied item is suitable for embroidery.

EMBROIDERY SETUP

Embroidery machines cannot understand the usual graphic file formats (jpg, gif, bmp, tif, cdr, ai, etc.) to convert them into stitches. Before your design can be embroidered onto a garment, it must be set up so the embroidery machine can understand how to stitch it. This process uses special software to create the logo or design into a “stitch file” which gives the machine the instructions it needs for embroidery, such as stitch length, stitch type, where to place them, and when to change colors.

However, we can use the standard graphic formats as the basis to set up your design. We accept camera-ready artwork and digital artwork by disk or email. Vector and high resolution jpg or tif images are preferred. We are not able to use graphics that are embedded into Word documents.

TO SEND YOUR IMAGES BY EMAIL OR DISK:

Vector images (cdr, ai, etc.) – Active fonts should be converted to curves, outlines, or paths. Raster images (jpg, tif, gif, bmp, etc.) – As large as possible, preferably 300 dpi. There is an extra charge for design set up based on the size and complexity of the final design. Left chest or cap designs usually cost between $35-50, depending upon the artwork. NOTE - Enlarging a small design to a jacket back size will require an additional setup.

NOTE: We keep all created designs on file for future embroidery orders.

STOCK DESIGNS

There are thousands of stock designs available that can be combined with our lettering styles for personalization. Stock designs that can be used to create a logo if you do not already have one. You can view and choose from thousands of designs from the image collections below, or other sites available online. If you find a design you like, just let us know the supplier and item number you would like to use.

NOTE ABOUT STOCK DESIGNS: It may not be possible to change colors displayed in the design depending on how the design is set up. The size of the furnished design may not be appropriate for your application, so particular attention needs to be paid to the size offered. For instance, if a design is larger than 1-1/2 inches tall, it will probably be too large to fit on a cap when combined with lettering. Stock design sizes are normally best used in the size they are created.
